NEXUS/foundation for today&rsquos art is seeking artist&rsquos work in all mediums for &ldquoYummy&rdquo scheduled for December 13, 2007 &ndash February 1, 2008.

Yummy is a group exhibition and public celebration that explores the vast impact food has on contemporary American society. The artwork in Yummy will address two major topics: cultural food traditions as related to family customs and social norms and the influence of the entertainment and advertising industry has on our eating habits.

Yummy will include not only a gallery installation involving edible and non-edible art, but also a series of extended programming including lecturers, panel discussions, film screenings, performances and food-related &ldquohappenings&rdquo.

Deadline: Postmarked no later than Saturday, August 18, 2007
Notification: No later than Saturday, September 8, 2007

Required Materials:

&bull Artist&rsquos statement
&bull Artist&rsquos r&eactutesum&eactute
&bull Slides, or CD-ROM of up to ten images, or (For New Media and Time-Based Media (Sound, Film/Video, Performance, etc.) up to ten minutes on CD or DVD.
&bull SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope) required to have submitted materials returned.
&bull For proposals relating to extended programming please send a one-page description.
